Thanks to kristine_smith for the slight modification to the wording so I felt I had to post this:

Copy this sentence into your livejournal if you're in a heterosexual marriage/relationship (or if you think you might be someday), and you don't want it "protected" by the bigots who think that gay marriage hurts it somehow.

What I'd like to be protected from is those selfsame clueless bigots that don't get it when my state turns down a constitutional amendment defining marriage as yada yada. Come on folks, we said no once, why do we have to go through the expense of voting on it again?

The signs with the big cheerful "Yes!" on them annoy me. Since you are here, I figure that you would know exactly the ones I'm talking about.

Yup, completely.

I also find I'm very glad I've voted already (mailed in about 9 days ago) as I'm so annoyed by the signs in general I might have written in my LJ friends as candidates as a protest by this point ...

Wouldn't that be an amusing election night news point: "And the new sheriff of Maricopa county is azang! Now if we can just figure out who that really is!"

And you're my last post in LJ until I hit ABQ later today! Yay!
