Helix:: A Speculative Fiction Quarterly is a new experiment in Short Fiction publishing.

It's published only online and everything is there to read, for Free! (Have you checked it out yet?)

The publication is funded strictly by donations (through PayPal and checks). It's a neat concept I think, if you like it send money, if you don't, you're not out anything.

I am friends and/or acquaintances with many of the folks that are involved in it and even so I'll venture to say that it's well done.

Go, read, if you like it, donate if you're able, if you can't donate, consider posting a link in your own LJ or somewhere else.

And Doranna Durgin's story "Forward" is especially good!
