Or "I don't smell, why the hell do you?"

As many of you know, I used to be involved in running gaming conventions on the east coast, many of my friends from those days still do.

We used to mutter about Gamers funk and other phrases to describe the almost visible odor that came from a room where between 50 and 500 hardcore gamers would settle for hours on end (the core 50 or so never leaving for the whole 3-5 days that the con was open!).

Dork Tower by John Kovalic has started a thread on just this topic.

I hereby dedicate these links to gm_avie and randomactsofkat who are still at it, working hard to prep for next weeks Dexcon 9, and kalligraphy and all the rest of us who have drifted off to other lives and tasks.

Good luck guys! We miss the good time!!

Tooo funny... but then Kovalic always is. ;)

Still, I would generally take gamer-funk over the street-funk some of the library patrons bring in, sad to say. The big difference is: the gamers have more CHOICE in the matter, which is what makes it inexcusable as opposed to simply chokingly bad.
