I hear an unfamilar noise outside and when I check it out sure enough! It's raining.

It's kind of neat how the first waves of rain, bounce right off the neighboring roofs in the form of steam :)

(Edit: I should add that it's been a high of 100 or higher for the last 6 days!)

I googled it, it is definitely rain!

It at least temporarily has stopped raining here, and the sun even came out for a while late in the day. Parts of Peabody are deep underwater, and the Merrimack swept away a large section of sewer main in Haverhill. US 1 is closed in some area north of Boston.

It could be a lot worse, though, if this region were flat, it would be massively worse.
